Russell Malone passed away yesterday.
Age 60. He had a heart attack.
He was touring Japan with Donald Vega in the Ron Carter Trio.
I'm sure the person who died is the most surprised...
What? I'm dead? I thought.
I was told that there's a performance today...

News of the death of a person of the same generation is particularly painful.
You would have still liked to have played more guitar...
It is a pity.

And we can only imagine what Ron Carter and Donald Vega are going through as they continue to perform.
