It's been two weeks since I was last at the forest house.
Spring had progressed even further.

The Setsubunso flowers are in bloom.
Crocuses are in bloom,
Many daffodils have sprouted.
The dogtooth violet is also peeking out.

I'm really feeling that spring has finally arrived.

Setsubunso is,
Apparently, it's a near-threatened species.
When it's still cold and other plants and flowers are dormant,
It gently blooms with small, lovely flowers,
As the season begins to liven up,
They disappear without a trace.


From now on, various
The greenery is overflowing.
Each of them,
As if they knew their own "time."

It's still below freezing every morning.
The flames in the wood-burning stove flicker softly.

Spring is
It's moving slowly.
