The new year is already two weeks old.
I wonder if the months fly by in a blur like this...
We must cherish every moment of every day...
I think especially like that in these days.

I enjoy the events and I don't dislike them,
Comfortable times are still to be found in everyday life.
That is why every moment becomes more important.

I really like cooking Osechi dishes, though,
I inevitably make more, so I have to eat the same food for several days.
Little by little, with a lot of things left over,
At the end of the day, it's kind of a low tension to get it like "organising leftovers".

So this year I decided to make a bisque-style soup on the spur of the moment.
I don't have a recipe because it's just an idea...

Leftover scraps of carrots and other vegetables cut into decorative pieces from making o-nijime and ozoni, and
The shells from the deliciously cooked prawns and the leftover amberjack yuan-yaki.
Onions are added to it and it is made into a potage.

This was better than I could have imagined!
I'll be a repeat customer next year...

In case you are wondering, we also had some leftover boiled rice, which we made into Kenchin Jiru.
