From the forest home back to Tokyo,
Go out to buy New Year's decorations and reserved rice cakes for offerings.
As expected at the end of the year! The town was busy and crowded.
There is no trace of Christmas.
When I went to my usual Japanese sweets shop to buy sweets for New Year's Eve, I was surprised to see a long queue (laughs).
The photo shows a shimekidashi in a forest house.
Does it have a different shape in different regions? Do they differ?
This form of decoration had never been seen in Tokyo.
Preference for traditional decorations rather than modern ones.
I am going to resume blogging abruptly.
