Hello. I'm Morino Risu.
I write about my life in my sixties, commuting between Tokyo and my home in the woods.
My only son lives in London.
I live a quiet life with my husband and our dog, Mocha.
I started taking care of my parents a few years ago.
That has also become part of this blog.
There's nothing special about it.
Morning ventilation, the foggy forest, the demolition of the neighboring house,
The day I taught my son how to make dumplings.
I simply jot down those little things.
What I realized while living in the forest was,
It meant that there was a place in the tranquility where one could feel safe and secure.
Emotions fluctuate like waves.
Both good and undesirable things happen.
There are times when I get angry, and times when I want to cry.
But eventually, they return to their quiet places.
Instead of suppressing emotions,
Just a return to neutral calm.
I believe that's where my true voice lies.
"A place to return to with peace of mind"
I think it's always within me.
With nature, fluffy, supple and light.
Finding tranquillity in the back of your mind at all times,
I want to live my life cherishing the small joys of everyday life.
Peace begins with a smile 🌿.
