Home Days Here. all 2026-2-5 Radio.

2026-2-5 Radio.

Emotions dragging on from yesterday.
Morning.
Feelings are somewhat heavy.

After breakfast, go shopping,
After that, there was nothing special to do,
Time somehow passed.
What has to be done,
There were so many of them.

*************

Since the TV in the forest house broke down,
More than a month has already passed,
I have become completely accustomed to life without television.
The only pity is that it is not possible to watch the film.
The screen itself has stopped working,
DVDs and other media cannot be watched.

Instead, radio is unexpectedly active.

At my parents' house, they asked me to get rid of it because they didn't need it anymore.
Small boom box.
It still looked good enough to use, so I kept it for emergencies.
I never thought it would be like this,
I never thought I would use it in everyday life.

There are other ways to listen to music.
You could play music on your phone,
Play background music from YouTube, for example.
This is then attached separately to the TV,
If connected to the speakers of a stereo system,
Music can also be played in good sound.

But why?
It rarely does so.

Boombox mono.
The sound coming from the little speakers.
Chintzy and comfortable.

FM only gets three stations,
NHK is often played.
It's quiet because there are no commercials,
I also like the fact that music is central.

Songs from classical music,
Soul, jazz and classical music,
Its genres are wide-ranging.

with sounds they had not known before.
It is also nice to meet new people.

The personalities' voices are calm,
The absence of unnecessary heat is good.

For a long time, radio has been
I wasn't a very keen listener, but still.
And I missed Yasuhiko Akasaka's talk,
Peter Barakan's commentary and music selections are always wonderful.

To an old song that came on unexpectedly,
It also reminds them of their fond school days.

And radio life,
Good.
