Silence is
Still
Calmness, peace of mind, a life with space for reflection, and performing daily actions with care.
What I have cherished in my life so far is
I think they all originate from "stillness."
What is stillness?
In the tea ceremony and Zen, one should avoid making unnecessary noises.
They have an attitude of paying attention to every single action.
I'm not an expert on those things,
I feel there's something they have in common.
When you try to do something without making a sound,
People are aware of the movements of their hands,
I naturally focus my attention on what's right in front of me.
Don't rush, don't treat things carelessly, and focus on what you're doing "here and now."
By doing so, the movements become more refined.
A sense of calm gradually returns to your mind.
Being mindful of sound also leads to consideration for those around you.
The sound of a door closing.
The sound of a glass being placed on the table.
Sounds that arise from casual actions,
It can be a burden for some people.
Performing actions carefully is not only about getting yourself in order,
I think it's also about being considerate of the people around you.
Silence is not the absence of sound.
Pay attention to your own actions.
Focus your attention on what's right in front of you.
And it's about becoming aware of the feelings within yourself.
Silence is,
Perhaps it refers to a state of being able to look into one's own heart.
Through videos, photos, and text, this site offers a chance to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I hope this can become a place where people can focus on themselves.
About me
About Me
While going back and forth between the house in the forest and Tokyo,
Through videos, photographs, and texts,
We share things we find in our daily lives.
Capture the slowly passing time on video,
I stopped and took a picture.
Put into words what touched my heart.
There are many ways to express oneself, but what we are always focusing on is the same.
It is a life of tranquility.
I currently live with my husband and our dog, Mocha.
My only son lives in London.
A few years ago, I also started taking care of my parents at my family home.
I spend my days going back and forth between Tokyo, my house in the woods, and my parents' house.
Now that I'm in my 60s, not just special events,
Cooking meals, noticing the changing seasons, spending time with family, etc.
I've come to want to cherish the ordinary moments of everyday life more than ever before.
Up until now
My Path
Previously, she worked as a kindergarten teacher, company employee, and flower arrangement instructor,
I have experience in a variety of jobs.
After that, I started my own company,
My physical and mental health deteriorated, and I had to give up on continuing.
I have also experienced breast cancer treatment and the process of recovering from depression and gradually weaning myself off medication.
Having gone through a period where I couldn't move as I wanted,
Being healthy,
I've come to deeply appreciate the preciousness of being able to live an ordinary day.
Eventually, they began living in two locations, feeling the changes of nature close at hand.
I've been re-evaluating my lifestyle and work style to find one that's comfortable and sustainable for me.
Things I cherish
What I Cherish
What I value most, no matter the circumstances,
It's important not to forget the tranquility within yourself.
Emotions fluctuate like waves.
Sometimes good things happen, and sometimes things you didn't want happen.
I get angry and sad sometimes.
Instead of trying to suppress those emotions, first accept them as they are.
And gradually, things return to a balanced and calm state.

When I returned to the silence, I realized what I was truly feeling,
I think it helps you see what you truly value.
The place you can return to with peace of mind is not somewhere far away,
It's always inside me.
Living in harmony with nature, with grace and lightness.
Noticing the stillness deep within my heart,
I want to live my life cherishing the small joys of everyday life.
