Home Days Here. Forests and Nature Blue-and-white Flycatcher

Blue-and-white Flycatcher

I've always wanted to go there.
My husband and I went on a birdwatching tour.

The meeting time is 5:00 AM.
I wake up at 3 AM.
The temperature is minus 1 degree Celsius.

I kept it without sending it to the dry cleaners.
The warmest down jacket,
I was truly grateful.

I entered the forest, which had become light before I even realized it.
The birds were already awake.

From both sides,
A clear, beautiful song resonates.

Great tit, Daurian redstart, woodpecker --
While the guide told me the name,
Listen carefully.

The trees have only just begun to sprout their new leaves.
You can still see the sky clearly from within the forest.

Somewhere in there,
The Blue-and-white Flycatcher is also singing.

We ventured deeper into the forest and walked along the riverbank path.

The wagtail lightly wagged its tail,
A wren hops about by the water's edge.

From such a small body,
How is it possible for their voices to carry so far?

A loud voice came from nearby.

It's a Blue-and-white Flycatcher.

The guide quietly pointed.

--there was.

The tip of a high branch of a larch tree.
A vivid blue figure came into view through the binoculars.

The people who were there,
We looked at each other and smiled, speechless.

The blue-and-white flycatcher eventually took flight,
They never left our side.

Appearing and disappearing,
It shows its blue form many times.

And finally,
It landed on a low branch nearby.

It was so close I could almost reach out and touch it.
A clear voice echoes through the forest.

We were simply mesmerized.

That blue too,
That voice too,
I will never forget.
